Track is an integral part of your model railroad layout. In technical terms, track is the means by which electrical current flows to your locomotives. In more simple terms, track is what your locomotive and rolling stock ride on.  Deciding what kind of track you use on your layout will mean the difference between a layout that will give you years of enjoyment and a layout that only gives you headaches.

CONDUCTIVITY . . . Aristo-Craft's brass rail has a very high percentage of copper insuring that conductivity of Aristo-Craft Track is superlative.  Our brass rail also features a very low percentage of lead, greatly inhibiting oxidation.  Oxidation is the main cause of "browning" in brass rail which lowers conductivity, requires constant cleaning, and detracts form the appearance of the rail.  Our stainless steel rail does not have conductivity issues due to oxidation.  Electrical conductivity between the stainless steel rail and the wheels and power pickups of your locomotives and cars is vastly superior to other forms of metal.

DURABILITY . . . Instead of being hollow, the rail in Aristo-Craft Track is solid for strength and performance.  Aristo-Craft Track can endure the heaviest of locomotives plus trampling by your neighbors' kids with the greatest of ease and still perform like new!

The plastic ties in Aristo-Craft Track are made from a high grade P.P. plastic for durability and quality.  An ultra-violet protectant stabilizer is supplied by a major U.S. chemical company who also analyzed our tie material to guarantee that the percentage of U.V. additive was correct.

Connecting track with the Aristo-Craft Screw/Rail Joiner System

The ARISTO-CRAFT SCREW/RAIL JOINER SYSTEM is a pride of Aristo-Craft design. It provides terrific conductivity where normally conductivity is a problem. . . the junction.  This means there is no need for messy conductive greases, soldering between joints, or rail clamps to get electrical performance.

If you've never put two pieces of track together, the process could not be easier.  Remove the screws enclosed in wax underneath the track sections.  Then, simply slide the track sections together and insert the screws into the holes in the rail joiners with the screwdriver provided with each box of Aristo-Craft Track.

Aristo-Craft Track now comes with hex head stainless screws and screwdriver, making installation even easier.  The rail joiners themselves are longer for better conductivity an feature elongated screw holes to allow for expansion and contraction of the metal rail.

Aristo-Craft Track also has the WIDEST SELECTION OF TRACK LENGTH AND STYLES on the market.  Add to that a great selection of track accessories and you get a complete system of trackage to build the layout you have always wanted.  With more new track and track accessories coming out each year, the possibilities of what you can do are endless!

Aristo-Craft Track features thirteen different curve track diameters and seven different straight track lengths for any type of layout.  Aristo-Craft makes track with brass and stainless steel rail (stainless steel available in USA style ties only) and four different types of switches as well!

For added realism, Aristo-Craft Track also comes in two different styles, USA (American) and European (also known as Narrow Gauge style ties).  The main difference between American and European style track are the number of track ties that make up each section.  American style track has 14 ties per foot while European style track has 11 ties per foot. If that's not enough, for the more advanced railroader, you can cut & bend your own track sections.  We make 8 foot lengths of our brass and stainless steel rail and tie strips in both our USA and European tie styles.  With the Aristo-Craft Tap and Drill set (ART-11902) and Rail Bender (ART-11920) you can build a layout to your exact specifications.
