Model Information:
Need a small diesel for light duty switching operations on your layout?  Want a nice looking diesel locomotive, but most of the diesel locomotives in G-Gauge are to large for your layout?  The New Aristo-Craft Center Cab Diesel Switcher Locomotive is what you need.  In the tradition of the Lil' Eggliner and the Lil' Critter, the engineers at Aristo-Craft took the short hood of two RS-3's to produce an entirely new locomotive.  Built on our 2 axle power trucks, the Center cab is larger then our Lil' Critter Diesel Locomotive yet smaller then our RS-3.  The Center Cab is small enough to negotiate almost any curve, yet powerful enough to pull long trains, the Center Cab Diesel Switcher Locomotive is necessary for any layout.

Prototype Information:
 The Aristo-Craft Center Cab Diesel Switcher Locomotive was inspired by small diesel locomotives used by industries and as railroad shop switchers.   Commonly referred to as "industrial switchers", these locomotives are designed for shuffling cars between tracks on the properties of large industries like steel mills and coal mines.  Their small size make them ideal for the light rails, sharp curves and tight clearances commonly found at large manufacturing complexes.
