Model Information:
Our finely crafted Railbus is reminiscent of the early 20th century when Railbuses where a common sight on rural shortlines and branchlines.  Inspired by the Mack Railbus, our superbly detailed model includes working headlight and marker lights, detailed and lit interior, opening doors, and simulated wood grain sides.  Our Railbus is sure to be a fine addition to any G-gauge layout.

Prototype Information:
The Railbus was common in the early part of the 20th century.  On narrow gauge railroads, shortlines and branchlines where traffic densities where light, the Railbus was a practical solution to the needs of passenger operations.  Much like its larger cousin the Doodlebug, the gasoline powered Railbus was cheaper to maintain and faster to service and turn around then traditional steam locomotive hauled passenger trains.
